Katie is excited to work with actors of all ages and abilities and welcomes veteran performances and total newcomers to her studio. Her work is grounded in collaboration and intentionally strives to honor identity and lived experience. She specializes in working with actors on audition preparation for theatre, cold reading skills, and musical theatre song interpretation. Katie looks forward to working with individuals to find material that works for them, a process that honors their boundaries as a performer, and a practice that makes auditioning, rehearsing, and performing joyful.
 

She holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from Tufts University, where she taught beginner, intermediate, and advanced acting, as well as courses on theatre history and performance studies. She is also a local director, having worked on both plays and musicals in Boston, Chicago, and neighboring communities.
